UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR LIFE’S MOST PRECIOUS TRANSITIONS.

What is a doula?

Postpartum doulas help support and enhance the postpartum experience, allowing the family to adjust and settle in.

Doulas provide non-medical support, quality referral information, education and assistance to families in their fourth trimester.

With a warm nourishing meal, companionship, feeding support, a tidy-up of the nursery and help with young siblings, your doula will give you the space to heal and focus on your new role.

NICE TO MEET YOU!

Hi, I’m Jodie and I live in Los Angeles with my husband, two teens and a husky shepherd pup named Millie.  My Mother said I was born a helper and I especially love supporting new families: as a trained birth and postpartum doula, I provide a nurturing, loving, extra set of hands and quiet support as families transition into the fourth trimester.

My extensive background in supportive roles range from pre-school teacher, nanny, personal assistant, home organizer and home chef, all leading to my current role as a postpartum doula.

I have a passionate approach to life and when I’m not helping new families, you can find me traveling, reading with my book club, volunteering in my community, making bread and hanging out with my Girl Scout troop, where I have been a leader for over 10 years.

A few fast facts about me…

  • DONA International Member + working towards certification

  • DASC (Doulas Association of Southern California) Member

  • Infant / Child / Adult CPR Certified

  • Vaccinated - Covid-19, Flu, Tdap

  • Honored to support LGBTQ+ birthing/adopting parents and partners

  • Trained in breastfeeding skills + support, completing the Lactation Educator Counselor Course at UCSD in June 2021

  • Vegan + vegetarian cooking specialist

  • Experienced working with toddlers + pre-school children

  • Experienced caring for pets

 WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING

Screen Shot 2021-03-12 at 3.12.47 PM.png

“Jodie was an incredible support when we welcomed our daughter by working with us to establish a new routine, educate us on having a newborn, and set us up for success going forward.

Jodie made sure to not only help care for our daughter, but also focused on making sure we were taken care of as well through healthy meals, creating different stations for nursing, pumping, and diaper changes, and (most importantly) much needed naps/rest. It was a pleasure working with Jodie and she helped us focus on enjoying this special time with our daughter!”

I cannot recommend Jodie highly enough. She is the warm, caring & nurturing energy I needed during the hardest time in my life. Not only was I welcoming my baby into the world during Covid, but I also received a cancer diagnosis & started treatments right away.

Jodie was incredibly supportive to me & her amazing cooking skills nourished my family too.

Marie
